Tesla has not been able to achieve the sales figures it wants in almost any market recently. This includes California, the state where it was founded. The research company, which announced California car sales figures today, shows that Tesla sales have decreased compared to the previous period.

While Rivian sales increase in California, Tesla sales are decreasing!

While electric car sales are constantly increasing in China, they are on the agenda with news of decreases in many regions. The research company, which shared California car sales today, stated that electric car sales are increasing in the state. However, this increase did not benefit Tesla.

In the state, which recorded 125 thousand electric vehicle sales in the second quarter of 2023, 118 thousand 181 electric cars were sold in the same period this year. While there was a slight decrease in sales compared to the previous year, the highest sales figure since the second quarter of 2023 was seen in the second quarter of 2024.

Electric cars, which constitute 25.7 percent of new vehicles sold, constitute more than a quarter of the overall sales in California. However, the famous electric car manufacturer cannot get its share of this increase. Because Tesla sales are expected to fall by 24 percent in the second quarter of 2024 and 17 percent in the first half. Musk’s regional rival Rivian is trying to have a say in the market by increasing sales by 71 percent in the first quarter.
