Electric car giant Tesla has changed its sales policy in East Asia. The company has launched a new campaign in Japan to achieve its sales target of 10,000 units this year. Along with the campaign, Tesla’s billionaire businessman Elon Musk announced that he will sell the Model 3 and Model Y with a zero-interest rate.
Tesla’s Ambitious Campaign
This new move comes after Tesla’s sales figures plummeted in Europe. The company aims to strengthen its global market position and dominate all continents. This campaign, launched in Japan to increase vehicle adoption and sales, is part of the company’s efforts to achieve its targets as the year draws to a close.

According to the campaign details, the Tesla Model 3 is being sold for 650 Japanese yen per day with a zero-interest rate. This figure is equivalent to approximately 181 Turkish Lira. The larger Tesla Model Y is also available with zero percent interest for 990 Japanese Yen per day, or approximately 276 Turkish Lira. These daily payment options aim to expand Tesla’s reach in the Japanese market.
Despite this campaign in Japan, Tesla sales in Turkey paint a different picture. Despite an increase in the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) in the country, Tesla achieved record sales figures. Turkish users are also waiting for this zero-interest loan campaign, launched in Japan, to be implemented in their country.
