Tesla has surprised potential buyers by once again raising the prices of its Model Y, one of its most popular models in the Turkish market. Following a recent price hike, this new update has brought the Model Y’s starting price past the 2.4 million TL threshold. This increase also provides important clues about the brand’s pricing strategy in Turkey and future models.
Successive Price Hikes for the Standard Range Version
Tesla’s most affordable model in Turkey, the rear-wheel-drive Standard Range (SR) Model Y, has been at the center of a price hike in recent weeks. Recently raised from 2,241,000 TL to 2,305,500 TL, today’s latest price hike has brought the model to 2,420,625 TL. This latest price hike means the vehicle’s entry-level price has increased by approximately 200,000 TL in a short time, significantly increasing the cost of ownership for those looking to own a Tesla.

This update affected not only the entry-level model but also the entire Model Y series. Prices for other versions targeting users with higher performance and range expectations have also been updated. As of October 10, 2025, the current price list for the Tesla Model Y family in Turkey is as follows:
- Model Y (Rear-Wheel Drive Long Range): 3,225,240 TL
- Model Y Long Range (All-Wheel Drive Long Range): 3,998,400 TL
- Model Y Performance (All-Wheel Drive Performance): 4,418,400 TL
In addition to the price increases, Tesla’s strategy shift in the European market is also of particular concern to the Turkish market. In Germany, it was announced that the current Model Y SR version will be replaced by a new, slightly “trimmed” “Model Y Standard” model. This development has led to the expectation that this new Standard version will be imported to Turkey instead of the existing SR.
There is no official information yet on the price of this new version in Türkiye. However, industry expectations suggest that the price of this new entry-level model won’t be significantly lower than the current price, which has recently exceeded 2.4 million Turkish Lira. Consumers are now eagerly awaiting both the new model’s hardware features and its potential launch price in Turkey. While these recent price hikes have somewhat hindered Tesla’s availability in Turkey, it remains to be seen how they will impact competitive market dynamics.
