Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, developed by Ninja Theory, will meet PlayStation 5 users this summer after its release for Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2024. The production, set in the dark atmosphere of 9th century Iceland, combines psychological thriller and action elements.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is coming to PlayStation 5
The game’s arrival on PlayStation 5 is seen as part of Microsoft’s recent cross-platform expansion strategy. The company also brought productions such as Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Age of Mythology: Retold, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to Sony’s console throughout the year.

Hellblade II stands out as one of the important parts of Microsoft’s initiative called “Project Latitude.” This aims to expand the boundaries of the Xbox brand and bring the company’s strong content to different platforms.
The first game in the series, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, was released for PS4 in 2017 and came to the Xbox One platform a year later. The second installment of the series will also complete the historical cycle of the production when it meets PlayStation users again.
These steps by Microsoft show that the “console-exclusive” gaming era that has been going on in the technology world for a long time is slowly coming to an end. Instead of just feeding its own platform; the company aims to diversify its revenues and increase its brand impact by bringing its game portfolio to a wider player base.
