The latest leak about the series, planned to be introduced on September 12th, is related to the charging speed. According to rumors, the iPhone 15 series might feature charging support with a power of 35W.
Previously, there were reports indicating that the new iPhone models would feature a USB-C port with Thunderbolt capabilities. However, despite the new standard potentially having higher charging speeds, there wasn’t any definitive information available. However, according to the latest news, the iPhone 15 models will have charging speeds of up to 35W.
Currently, the iPhone 14 Pro models charge at a power of 27W, while the standard iPhone 14 models charge at 20W. With the new series, an increase to 35W implies faster charging times. Additionally, iPhones have generally had lower charging speeds compared to Android devices. This has become a significant concern, especially considering battery health issues in the iPhone 14 series.
Furthermore, Apple no longer includes a power adapter with its devices. The company recommends a 20W+ charger for fast charging. If the iPhone 15 models support 35W charging, Apple could suggest using a 30W MacBook Air charger or a 35W Dual USB-C charger.
Additionally, it is claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro Max model will offer 6x optical zoom with a periscope camera. This marks a significant enhancement for the iPhone.
