Apple has accelerated its efforts for the upcoming year’s release of a new iPad Pro model. According to the published report, the new iPad Pro with an M3 processor will introduce significant changes for the first time since 2018.
Will the iPad Pro with M3 processor meet expectations?
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg mentioned in the latest issue of the Power On newsletter that these iPad Pro models will be the “first major update since 2018.” According to Gurman, the new iPad Pro series will consist of two models, one with an 11-inch screen and the other with a 13-inch screen.
Apple will transition to OLED screen technology for the new iPad Pro model. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro with the M2 processor uses miniLED for its display, while the 11-inch model continues to use the older LED backlighting technology. Analysts suggest that the new iPad Pro models will offer clearer and brighter displays and more accurately represent colors.
The new iPad Pro models will feature M3 chips. The devices currently being tested by Apple are using model codes J717, J718, J720, and J721. The M3 chip is expected to be released first with new Mac updates towards the end of this year, and the iPad Pro’s refresh is not anticipated until next year.
The Magic Keyboard, initially introduced in 2020, has not yet received a design update. Gurman mentioned that the company will also refresh the design of the Magic Keyboard. According to leaked information, the new keyboard will transform the iPad Pro into a laptop-like form factor.
