The Nothing Phone (1), which was introduced in July of last year, made a name for itself in the smartphone world with its illuminated back design. The product, which recently entered the Turkish market, has received positive feedback for its performance, prompting the company to start working on its second phone.
Nothing Phone (2) will feature Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1
Details about the upcoming Nothing Phone (2), expected to be unveiled in July, continue to emerge. The design of the model, which will bring some improvements compared to its predecessor, has been leaked by OnLeaks and Smartprix. The company maintains its signature illuminated transparent back panel design.
Upon examining the design, it can be observed that the curvature of the edges is more pronounced compared to its predecessor. Additionally, there are two LEDs instead of one for the flash on the back panel. However, sources indicate that the design has not been finalized yet, and there may be some minor changes.
CEO Carl Pei confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor includes a Cortex-X2 core running at 3.19 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.75 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores running at 1.80 GHz. The processor, manufactured using 4nm technology, is equipped with an Adreno 730 graphics interface.
The anticipated Nothing phone will offer options for 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it will come in options of 128 GB and 256 GB. The device will feature a 6.7-inch display with Full HD Plus resolution. It should be noted that the device will use an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz screen refresh rate.
The phone will come out of the box with Android 13-based NothingOS 1.5 interface, and it will receive 3 years of major software updates and 4 years of security updates. The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to have a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. Additionally, the device will be powered by a 4,700mAh battery.
