Apple recently held an event where it announced dozens of new products. Although the focus of the event was on the iPhone 16 series, the Apple Watch Series 10 and the AirPods 4 also caught attention. The fourth-generation AirPods, in particular, come with a new design and features. It seems that with the AirPods 4, the era of physical buttons has come to an end. Here are the details:
AirPods 4 Features Touch Controls
In its recent event, Apple made design changes to almost all its products, and the AirPods 4 is no exception. With the AirPods 4, Apple has transitioned from physical buttons to touch capacitive controls. Although this touch button is not visible on the device, it is present.
According to new reports, the physical button on the back has been replaced with a hidden touch button on the front. This hidden touch button, located on the front of the charging case, is used for pairing. It is said that to pair the device, you need to open the AirPods 4 case and tap the hidden button twice.
Additionally, this button can also be used to reset the new AirPods to factory settings. If you want to reset the fourth-generation AirPods, you can do so with a triple tap or a long press.
It is also claimed that the green light seen in photos is not an actual LED indicator but is located beneath the white plastic, lighting up only when the case is opened or while charging. The AirPods 4 will be available for sale at a price of $129, while the version with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) will be priced at $179. The new AirPods models will officially go on sale on September 20.
