As every year, Google has announced its new Android flagship phones. The Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will receive updates for seven years, and the first update for these devices has now been released. This update has not only been issued for the Pixel 9 series but also for all Pixel devices that still receive support. Here are the details…
September 2024 Security Update for Google Pixel 9
While the full version of Android 15 has been released for developers, it hasn’t yet been made available for the public but is expected to be soon. In the meantime, as it does every month, the tech giant has released its monthly security update. The September 2024 security update, which was first made available for Pixel devices, is also the first update for the Pixel 9 series.
Looking at the update notes, as expected, these security updates mainly include bug fixes and do not introduce new features. It seems that a fix has been released to improve Wi-Fi stability and performance as well as address security vulnerabilities, particularly with third-party apps.
Additionally, some critical and high-priority vulnerabilities have been patched. Due to these vulnerabilities, it’s important to update as soon as possible. Here are the supported Pixel devices and their software versions:
