Samsung is making a notable improvement to the Galaxy S26 Edge by upgrading its battery. Unlike last year’s strategy of staggering releases, this time the device will launch simultaneously with the rest of the Galaxy S26 lineup.
Galaxy S26 Edge battery revealed
According to China’s 3C certification database, the Galaxy S26 Edge will feature a 4,200 mAh battery. This confirms earlier rumors and represents a 300 mAh increase over the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 3,900 mAh unit. Combined with software optimizations and AI-driven power management, the larger battery is expected to deliver significantly better endurance.

Another interesting point is the slimmer design. For reference, the Galaxy S25 Edge measured 5.8 mm in thickness. The new S26 Edge is rumored to be just 5.5 mm thick, meaning Samsung has managed to make the phone thinner while still increasing its battery capacity.
