Recently, many Samsung Galaxy Watch users have been reporting unexpected and significant increases in the sleep scores recorded by their smartwatches. It’s striking that users are seeing higher scores than ever before, despite no change in their sleep habits. This is reportedly a problem that arose following the One UI 8 software update.
A Curious Problem with the Galaxy Watch
While the update introduced new features such as bedtime guidance, no official changes were made to the sleep score calculation system. Despite this, users who typically score in the 80-90 range are seeing their scores suddenly jump to 99 or even 100 out of 100.

Users posting on various forums report experiencing nearly perfect sleep scores for several nights in a row. Some even report achieving perfect scores even after only lying down for short periods, questioning the reliability of the measurements.
This abnormal increase appears to be more than just a single Galaxy Watch model and affects users in different countries. While users are happy with their high scores, they are concerned that these measurements don’t reflect their true sleep quality.
Samsung has yet to officially address this unexpected sleep score error. Users are hoping for a swift diagnosis and a return to accurate sleep tracking data. What are your thoughts on this? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
