MultiVersus, the Warner Bros. hit of the past few years, is making a comeback. The fighting game, which features many popular characters, will be reintroduced with major updates in May.
MultiVersus will be re-released on May 28th
Game developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros Games have announced that MultiVersus will launch on May 28th. The fighting game will reportedly be replayable for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
The free-to-play MultiVersus has been in open beta testing for over a year. On May 28th, the game will make its full debut with an update. The game has been redeveloped using Unreal Engine 5 and the graphics will be much improved.
On the other hand, some updates have been made to seamlessly connect players around the world. The company said it will use a revamped netcode system. This is good news for users who experienced connection issues during the open beta.
In addition to updated visuals and a revamped server, MultiVersus will also introduce a new PvE game mode. Although the details are still unclear, it is stated that some in-game rewards will be given with this mode.
The return of MultiVersus in May suggests that it may be back in the spotlight after a testing period. With Unreal Engine 5 and new modes, Player First Games is trying to make fighting popular again.
