Interior images of Xiaomi’s second electric car YU7 SUV model have been leaked. Following the information previously revealed by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the technology-oriented cockpit design of the vehicle has now come to light. Here are those images…
Xiaomi YU7 comes with minimalist design and advanced technologies

When we look at the leaked photos, we see that the Xiaomi YU7 model will have Panoramic Head-Up Display (HUD) technology instead of a digital instrument panel. As you know, this system reflects speed and driving information directly on the lower part of the windscreen, allowing the driver to access information without taking his eyes off the road.

The centre console features a large infotainment screen with Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system. The steering wheel is covered in Alcantara and carbon fibre and has two rotary control knobs at the bottom. One of them is designed to manage ADAS driving assistance systems, while the other is designed to activate the highest performance with ‘Boost Mode’. The centre tunnel will feature dual wireless charging pads, two cup holders and a large storage compartment.
It is stated that Xiaomi YU7 has 4999 mm length, 1996 mm width and 1600 mm height. The 3000 mm wheelbase shows that the vehicle will have a spacious and comfortable interior. On the battery side, Xiaomi will use 96.3 kWh batteries from BYD and 101.7 kWh batteries from CATL. It is stated that the longest-range version will offer a range of 820 km according to the CLTC cycle. The electric SUV will be available with three different engine options:
Single engine version: 235 kW power generation
- Dual-engined AWD versions:
- 130 kW front + 235 kW rear engine
- 220 kW front + 288 kW rear motor
We expect the Xiaomi YU7 SUV to be officially unveiled in late June or early July. The company is likely to share more technical details ahead of the launch. What do you think about the vehicle? You can write your opinions in the comments section below…
