Threads, Meta’s X (formerly Twitter) competitor, has finally rolled out its long-awaited scheduled posting feature to all users. According to the statement made by Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, with this new feature, users will be able to plan and share their posts up to 75 days in advance. Here are the details
Post scheduling period started in Threads
Threads users will now be able to see the ‘Schedule’ option after creating a new post by tapping the three-dot menu in the upper left corner. From there, a post can be scheduled to be automatically shared at a specified date and time.

Mosseri also announced that they are working on a ‘Markup’ (bookmarking/markup) tool for Threads, which allows users to add to re-shared posts. This feature will allow users to draw, highlight, and add arrows on posts they reshare.
In addition, another important change for Threads was related to moderation policies. Meta has decided to change the verification system on the platform. Content checks previously performed by independent verification organisations will now be replaced by the Community Notes system.

Finally, Threads will start recommending political content to users in the new period. Meta believes that these changes will transform Threads into a more effective news and content platform.
Although Threads gained great momentum in the first period of its debut, it lagged behind in user interaction. Planned posting, a flagging tool and new moderation changes are seen as one of the most important steps to make the platform a stronger competitor to X.
So, do you think these new features of Threads will increase interest in the platform? Don’t forget to share your comments with us!
