M3 Max specifications
Apple unveiled three different processors at its event today. It appears to have a 16-core CPU with a 40-core GPU, 12 high-performance cores and four efficient cores. Its predecessor, the current M2 Max chip, has a 12-core CPU and a 38-core GPU.
The M3 Max is set to push the envelope by increasing the transistor count to 92 billion. The 40-core GPU is up to 50 percent faster than the M1 Max, Apple says. In addition, there is support for up to 128 GB of unified memory. The technology giant underlines that it is up to 80 percent faster than the M1 Max.

On the other hand, with two ProRes engines, the M3 Max makes video post-production work fast and smooth, even on the highest resolution content using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. Apple claims that MacBook Pro will deliver industry-leading battery performance.
