Android 16 may be called Baklava

It seems surprising that Android 16 is called Baklava. Because Google was going in alphabetical order in each series. So according to the continuation of the alphabet, the next sweet name was expected to start with the letter ‘W’.
Evidence of the name ‘Baklava’ emerged in the changes made in Google’s Android Open Source Project (AOSP) codes. The code change indicates that the minimum supported SDK version will be ‘Baklava’.
For those who don’t know, Google uses a sweet code name instead of a version number in the developer preview versions of Android. Therefore, code references indicate that Google is working on Android 16 under the name Baklava. This means that a tradition of more than ten years will be broken. Google will not continue the alphabetical progression.
It is not yet clear why Google chose the name ‘Baklava’ and decided to leave the alphabetical order. Some users think that it wanted to make a change with an unexpected name. It was also stated that the pattern has now become too predictable.
