Samsung announced the beta program of One UI 8, which it has been testing internally for a while, yesterday. The brand launched the beta program with the Galaxy S25 series. The program is currently available in Germany, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The new version brings important innovations. One of the prominent improvements in the One UI 8 beta version is the very useful filtering feature that Samsung added to the My Files application.
One UI 8 offers more advanced file filtering for downloaded files
According to sources, a new filtering feature has been added to the My Files application with the One UI 8 beta update. According to the shared screenshots, users can now filter the files they download according to the application they were downloaded from.

Thanks to the new filtering feature, users will see a filter bar at the bottom of the screen when they open the Downloads folder. For example, files downloaded according to applications such as ‘All,’ ‘Slack,’ ‘Chrome,’ and ‘Gmail’ can be easily filtered.
With this feature, managing files downloaded from different applications and cluttering the device becomes much easier. Unless there is a last minute change, Samsung is expected to add this feature to the stable version of One UI 8.
The One UI 8 beta version is not limited to this innovation. According to sources, the beta version also includes improvements in features such as split-screen multitasking and Secure Folder.
