An unexpected announcement from Krafton and PUBG Studios.A brand new tactical shooter set in the PUBG world is coming. PUBG: Blindspot will offer a different experience from the battle royale formula.
PUBG: Blindspot demo will be released this month
Instead of the open-world combat of PUBG, PUBG: Blindspot 5v5 will feature tactical gameplay with a top-down view. Players will be tasked with completing an objective by breaching a single zone. They will defend against the opposing team accordingly.
The game will feature many different modes, including Team Deathmatch and Annihilation missions on various maps. In addition, 10 characters will be available to players, each with their own weapons and tools for strategic attack.
An official release date has not yet been announced. However, a playable demo of Blindspot will be released for Steam users starting 20 February. This demo coincides with the Steam Next Fest event, which will run from 24 February to 3 March.
Krafton said, ‘This is an exciting new direction for the PUBG series. Blindspot offers a fresh, more strategic gameplay experience that we believe will resonate with both long-time players and newcomers to the series.’
