The Austral, Renault’s representative in the C-SUV segment, is now on sale in Turkey following a facelift. The model, which stands out with its new design and enhanced features, is priced from 2,190,000 TL. The Austral is the first vehicle to introduce Renault’s new design language, introduced with the Rafale model, to this segment.
The New Renault Austral Launches in Turkey
The exterior design of the refreshed Austral features a completely revised front and rear view. More muscular lines, a modern light signature, and optimized body proportions give the vehicle a more dynamic stance.

Special 20-inch wheels, carbon-look upholstery, blue stitching, and special color options, especially available on the Esprit Alpine trim level, enhance the model’s sporty character. The Techno trim boasts chrome roof bars and integrated Google services.
The interior features large digital displays, a personalized driving experience, and enhanced comfort features. The openR Link system, consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch multimedia screen, runs on Google infrastructure.
The Harman Kardon sound system is supported by sound effects developed in collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre. The acoustic insulation and suspension systems have also been revised for a quieter interior. The seats have been updated in terms of both design and ergonomics.
The vehicle’s driver profile recognition feature automatically adjusts settings such as seat position, rearview mirror, ambient lighting, and display preferences. The system, called the “welcome scenario,” greets the driver with special animations and sound effects on the digital displays as the user approaches the vehicle.
The new Austral offers two different hybrid powertrains. The E-Tech Full Hybrid system combines a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with two electric motors, producing a total of 200 hp. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
Average fuel consumption is announced as 4.7 L/100 km. Energy management is fully automatic. In addition to this version, a 160 hp mild hybrid engine is also available in the Turkish market with a CVT automatic transmission.
There are also significant improvements in driving dynamics. Thanks to the new 4Control Advanced system, a 10.1-meter turning circle is achieved by steering the rear wheels. This system enhances maneuverability in urban driving and ensures that the rear wheels steer in the same direction as the front wheels to enhance stability at high speeds. Multi-Sense also allows for user-customizable driving modes such as Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Perso.
On the safety front, the vehicle is equipped with a total of 28 advanced driver assistance systems. Active Driving Assistance, which offers Level 2 autonomous driving, combines adaptive cruise control and lane centering for a comfortable drive.
Systems such as Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Automatic Emergency Braking are standard. Additionally, the vehicle has integrated the Safety Coach, which analyzes driver behavior, and the My Safety Switch feature, which enables personalization of ADAS systems.
The New Austral also offers ample interior space in terms of practicality. The rear seats can be moved 16 cm forward and backward and can be folded in a 60:40 split. The electric tailgate provides cargo volume ranging from 527 to 1,761 liters with different seat configurations. This volume increases to 1,736 liters in the E-Tech hybrid version.
With its refreshed design, hybrid engine options, digital technologies, and comprehensive safety equipment, the New Renault Austral has established itself as a notable option in the C-SUV market in Turkey.
