Renault is preparing to unveil the next-generation Clio, its flagship in the compact class. The eagerly awaited sixth-generation 2026 Renault Clio will debut in September. The French manufacturer will hold the world premiere of the new model at the Munich Motor Show on September 8th.
The new-generation Renault Clio is here
The new Clio features significant updates in both design and technology. The company is presenting a more modern exterior design inspired by the Embleme concept. The vehicle’s dimensions are also larger, resulting in more space for passengers.
Interior features include digital displays and a new Android-based infotainment system, standard in modern Renault models. While some interior elements are borrowed from the electric Renault 5, the Clio’s distinctive style remains.

While Renault continues its investments in electric vehicles, there will be no fully electric version of the Clio. Instead, almost all of the model’s engine options are equipped with hybrid technology. The most notable change in the powertrains is the replacement of the current 145-horsepower 1.6-liter hybrid engine with a 160-horsepower 1.8 TCe engine.
Another technical change is the relocation of the gearshift control to the right side of the steering wheel. Sales of the new Clio begin immediately following its launch. The first vehicles are expected to arrive in European dealerships by the end of the year. This means the car will begin arriving on the European market before 2026.
