The new Toyota bZ5 is officially on sale
The new bZ5 is developed on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform. The model has two different range options. The entry-level version offers a range of 550 kilometers according to China’s CLTC standards and is being launched with a pre-sale price of around $18,000.

The most striking technical feature of the vehicle is the use of Blade batteries developed by BYD. These batteries are supported by a front-wheel drive electric motor producing 200 kW (268 horsepower) provided by BYD’s subsidiary FinDreams.
The bZ5, which also has advanced equipment in terms of driving assistance systems, is equipped with a level 2 urban autonomous driving assistance system called Momenta 5.0, which works with a total of 33 sensors. An aggressive and sporty language has been adopted in the design.
The front section has a characteristic face defined as a “hammerhead shark”. A modern look is offered with the fastback type aerodynamic body structure, hidden door handles, LED lighting and 21-inch alloy wheels.
The dimensions of the vehicle are 4780 mm in length, 1866 mm in width, 1510 mm in height and 2880 mm in wheelbase. Digitalization and comfort are also at the forefront in the interior. The 15.6-inch multimedia screen in the middle, the digital instrument panel and the 1.44 square meter panoramic glass roof support the technological atmosphere.
