Toyota’s compact crossover SUV is returning with an all-electric version, and it’s already making a splash. We saw the first images of the 2026 C-HR+ in March, following Toyota’s announcement of three new electric SUVs for European market launches. Here are the details of the Toyota C-HR EV.
Toyota C-HR EV: Refreshed Design and Electric Performance
The new 2026 C-HR reflects Toyota’s current design language. Its striking “hammerhead” front end offers a look that’s both aggressive and modern. Its dimensions are similar to the Kia Niro EV, and it appears designed for urban driving. Furthermore, Toyota’s acceleration in the electric vehicle segment could offer new features for those waiting for a C-HR.

The vehicle will be available not only in electric (EV) but also in hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and fuel cell options. The electric version will offer a range of up to 467 kilometers with its 74.7 kWh battery and will come with standard all-wheel drive (AWD).
The C-HR EV is quite ambitious in terms of charging, allowing it to charge at Tesla Superchargers thanks to its built-in NACS port, and charging from 10% to 80% will take just 30 minutes.
The interior reportedly features a high-tech 14-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the official price hasn’t been announced yet, it’s expected to start around $30,000.
