Chinese automaker Chery continues to expand its operations in Turkey. Following the Chery and Jaecoo brands, it is now bringing Omoda to Turkey. The first model from this new brand will be the Omoda 7.
The Omoda 7 will officially arrive on the Turkish market
The Omoda 7 is scheduled to go on sale in the last quarter of the year. This SUV model is 4.62 meters long and has a 2.73-meter wheelbase. The trunk capacity is 500 liters, which expands to 1,400 liters with the rear seats folded down.

The engine options are also noteworthy. The 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline version of the Omoda 7 produces 147 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque. This version, which comes with a dual-clutch transmission, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.1 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km/h.
Another option is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version. This model combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a 150 kW electric motor to deliver a total of 347 horsepower. Equipped with BYD’s 18.3 kWh battery, the hybrid Omoda 7 offers an electric range of up to 100 kilometers on a single charge. It is not yet clear which versions will be sold in Turkey.
Market experts predict that the Omoda 7 will be launched at a competitive price. As with Chery’s other models, the Omoda 7 is rumored to be capable of shifting the balance of power in the SUV market with its aggressive pricing policy.
The hybrid version, which offers tax advantages in particular, is expected to stand out with its fuel economy and environmentally friendly features, attracting consumer interest. This model, with its technological features and affordable price, could further fuel the rise of Chinese cars in Turkey.
