While POCO is preparing to launch the POCO F8 Pro and F8 Ultra for global markets, it is also working on the new POCO X8 series. In recent developments, a new SGS certification listing has revealed the first details about the upcoming POCO X8 Pro.
Could Be the Global Version of the Redmi Turbo 5
The device, associated with model number 2511FPC34G, has been listed in SGS certification filings with important information regarding its connectivity and charging hardware. In addition to the standard features, it also features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and support for wide 5G bands, including n1, n3, n7, n8, n28, n38, n41, and n78.

The listing confirms the use of a USB Type-C port and references a battery labeled BM6Q. This battery indicates a capacity of 6,500 mAh with a nominal capacity of 6,330 mAh. The accompanying power adapter, identified as MDY-19-EX, supports 100W wired charging and has Class II protection.
The device in question was also spotted in an EEC certification in July of this year, but that listing did not reveal any significant details. According to previous leaks, the POCO X8 series is expected to launch in January of next year.
Past reports suggested that the POCO X8 Pro could be a rebranded version of the yet-to-be-released Redmi Turbo 5. Supporting this theory, a Redmi device with model number 2511FRT34C appeared on the 3C certification website earlier this month.
This similarity in model numbers has fueled expectations that POCO will pursue a strategy of adapting some Redmi models under the POCO label for global markets. If this proves true, the POCO X8 Pro could have largely the same hardware profile as the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 when both devices are officially released.
According to reports, the China-exclusive Turbo 5 will feature a 6.67-inch flat OLED LTPS 1.5K display, a metal mid-frame, the Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor, and a battery capacity of around 7,000mAh. The global POCO X8 Pro is likely to have a smaller battery. The Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to launch in China in December.
