In a significant move that intensifies competition between music streaming platforms, Apple has introduced a new import tool for users looking to switch from rivals like Spotify and YouTube Music. This tool is now available to users in Turkey. With the new feature, you can transfer your existing music libraries and playlists to Apple Music.
Playlist Transfer Feature Launched
The transfer tool is available for both iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. This service works in conjunction with Apple’s third-party app SongShift. It currently supports transfers from popular platforms such as Spotify, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal, and Amazon Music.

If the system can’t find a track in the Apple Music catalog, it flags it and suggests an alternative. It also notes that only user-created playlists can be imported.
Once the transfer is complete, the music remains in its original location, just as it was on the original platform. This feature eliminates the worry of losing users’ music collections when switching platforms.
To complete the process, users go to Settings > Apps > Music on their iPhone or iPad. Android users open the Apple Music app directly and go to Settings.
Next, tap “Import Music from Other Music Services” and select from among supported platforms. After logging in, select the songs and playlists you want to transfer and click “Add to Library.”
A “Transfer Complete” message will notify you that the transfer is complete. If some songs are not found, a “Some Music Needs Review” warning will appear on the screen.
