Silent Hill 2 Remake, released for PlayStation 5 and PC in October 2024 and achieving significant success, is now available for Xbox players. The game’s console exclusivity is ending. The ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board) has rated the Silent Hill 2 remake for Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Silent Hill 2 to Release on Xbox
Developed by Bloober Team and receiving critical acclaim on PS5 and PC, this remake was a console-exclusive for PS5. However, a new rating on the ESRB website has definitively confirmed that Silent Hill 2 Remake will also be coming to Xbox Series X/S consoles.

The ESRB has added Silent Hill 2 to its rating list for Xbox Series X/S. This listing contains the same rating details as the game’s previously released PS5 and PC versions. Leaks from the ESRB are considered 100% reliable information in the industry. This provides confirmed confirmation that the game will be coming to Xbox.
It’s currently unclear when the game will be released on Xbox consoles. However, two potential events for the Silent Hill 2 Remake’s Xbox announcement are emerging. Konami may announce the Xbox release date at The Game Awards 2025, the annual awards ceremony where new games are also announced.
In addition, Xbox is rumored to hold a “Partner Showcase” event in November. The Silent Hill 2 remake’s Xbox announcement will also take place at this event.
