Showtime has released the first trailer for the new Dexter series Dexter: Resurrection, which will return to screens this summer. The new production, which picks up where the original series and its sequel Dexter: New Blood left off, will meet its audience on July 11.

Michael C. Hall returns as the lead character Dexter Morgan. Accompanying him are Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet and David Dastmalchian.
In addition, David Zayas (Angel Batista), James Remar (Harry Morgan), Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan), John Lithgow (Trinity Killer) and Jimmy Smits (Miguel Prado), who played important roles in previous seasons, are also returning as their previous characters in the series.
Dexter: Resurrection takes the story to New York. In the series of events that take place today, Dexter comes face to face with a mysterious and influential billionaire, this time played by Peter Dinklage. Dinklage’s character draws attention as the new threat element of the story. Uma Thurman plays the role of this character’s right-hand man and also the head of private security.
The Dexter series first aired in 2006 and quickly became one of the cult productions of television history. The character’s story was revived with the series Dexter: New Blood, which was released in 2021, but its ending caused controversy. Dexter: Resurrection aims to continue this universe.
