At the beginning of the month, vivo introduced the vivo Y500, equipped with the powerful Dimensity 7300 chipset and a massive 8,200 mAh battery. Now, the company is preparing to raise the bar for the series. vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao confirmed that they will launch the vivo Y500 Pro in China. This device will be the brand’s first Y-series phone with a 200-megapixel main camera. Here are the details.
vivo Y500 Pro to be unveiled soon
According to Han Boxiao, following the success of the vivo Y500, the vivo Y500 Pro is ready to launch before the end of the year. The most striking detail of this new model is that it will use the 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 primary camera sensor with an f/1.88 aperture.

Meanwhile, vivo’s flagship series, the Vivo X300 series, which will be officially launched in China on October 13th, will feature a custom-made Samsung HPB 200MP sensor, rumored to be an improved version of the Samsung HP9 200MP sensor. This suggests that even the Pro model will not be left behind in high-resolution camera technology.
There is strong speculation that the vivo Y500 Pro is a rebranded or slightly modified version of the vivo V60e, which is expected to be unveiled in India in October. Leaked information about the V60e reinforces this possibility. The vivo V60e is expected to feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, housed in an IP68/69-certified body resistant to harsh conditions.
A 200-megapixel main camera is expected on the rear, accompanied by an 8-megapixel secondary camera, while a powerful 50-megapixel selfie camera is also expected on the front.
The V60e, which is expected to be powered by the brand-new Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, will feature a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. The device is expected to run FunTouch OS 15, based on Android 15.
Regarding memory, leaked information suggests that up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage will be available.
