Microsoft has updated the Xbox PC app with a highly anticipated feature. Previously displaying only games from the Microsoft Store and Game Pass libraries, the app now also brings together games from platforms like Steam and Battle.net in a single interface. This new feature is available to all Windows users.
Xbox PC app revamped
With the new update, “Collectible Game Library” and “My Apps” sections have been added to the Xbox app. This allows users to launch not only games but also third-party apps from the same location. This feature, particularly for portable devices, improves accessibility, eliminating the need to switch between apps.

Previously tested in the Xbox Insider program, the feature is now available to all Windows users. Games are listed in the “My Library” and “Recents” tabs. Users can also customize which game stores appear in the library from the app settings.
At the end of September, the Xbox PC app is expanding even further. Microsoft is adding cloud-based games and implementing features such as synced game history across devices. Additionally, the “Continue Where You Left Off” list allows users to continue their games from the same location when switching between consoles, PCs, and portable devices.
This strategic move makes the Xbox PC app the central gaming platform within the Windows ecosystem. The company aims to not only offer its own library but also become the primary gateway for players to access all their PC games.
The goal is to provide players with a seamless, single-source experience, allowing them to easily find and play their favorite games regardless of where they purchased them.
