Prices for next-generation graphics cards are dropping to the point where it’s pointless for gamers to avoid them. These two current graphics cards, offering 1080p and 1440p gaming performance, are attracting attention with prices starting at $209.
Radeon RX 9070 and RTX 5050 on Sale
The ASRock Challenger RX 9070 has seen its price drop to $509, while the MSI Gaming RTX 5050 8G Shadow 2X is now available for just $209. The Radeon RX 9070, based on the RDNA 4 architecture, has received an additional $20 discount on Newegg after hitting its lowest price a few days ago.

The card in question is the ASRock Challenger Radeon RX 9070 16GB model, and it’s currently $40 below its MSRP. This card was often overlooked because it was overshadowed by the RX 9070 XT, which typically sells for $600-$650, but this is changing with price drops.
The card’s current price is $509, making it more affordable than its rival, the GeForce RTX 5070. The RX 9070 not only offers slightly higher raster performance but also comes with 4GB more VRAM to keep your system ready for years to come.
Based on the trimmed-down NAVI 48 chip, the Radeon RX 9070 features 3584 Stream Processors and 16GB of GDDR6 memory over a 256-bit memory bus. With this card, you can play almost any game at 1440p resolution at 60+ FPS on the highest settings, even exceeding 100 FPS in some games.
If you’re on a tighter budget, there’s another excellent deal. The GeForce RTX 5050, the slowest and cheapest card in the Blackwell GeForce RTX 50 family, is also attracting attention with its discounted price.
While its $249 price tag might not make it a particularly attractive gaming card, the MSI Gaming RTX 5050 8G Shadow 2X, currently priced at $209 on Amazon, makes it the best 8GB card you can have in your system.
This card slightly outperforms the RX 7600 and offers the same memory capacity as its more powerful siblings, the GeForce RTX 5060, for $90 less. It’s important to note that its memory configuration isn’t the same as the RTX 5060 and uses a slower 2GB GPU.
Still, the price is 33% less than the RTX 5060, despite its roughly 30% slower performance. This makes the card a very attractive deal.
