Apple has officially ended hardware support for some Mac and iPhone models. The company has updated the list of products for which it no longer provides hardware service. The additions to the list include the 11-inch MacBook Air and two different MacBook Pro models.
These MacBook Models Are Being Retired
According to Apple’s list, the early 2015 model of the 11-inch MacBook Air will no longer receive hardware support. Additionally, the 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro and 15-inch MacBook Pro models have also been removed from the support list. Authorized service centers are no longer able to order parts for these products or provide hardware service.

According to company criteria, products discontinued more than seven years ago are no longer eligible for hardware support. These devices are designated as “retired products.” Apple will no longer provide hardware service for these products.
However, for some MacBook models, depending on parts availability, a repair process covering only the battery may be available for up to 10 years from the date of discontinuation.
In addition to Mac models, the iPhone 8 Plus, which launched alongside the iPhone X in 2017, has been officially added to the legacy product list. This means that repair and support services for the device will be gradually reduced.
