Apple will introduce the iOS 19 update at the WWDC 2025 event to be held on June 9. Along with the new features that will be offered to iPhone users with the update, it has also become completely clear which devices will no longer be supported.
These three iPhone models will not receive the iOS 19 update
According to the latest information, Apple will not offer the iOS 19 update to the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max models. It is stated that the A12 Bionic processor used in these three models is not compatible with the new operating system. Thus, Apple will end software support for these devices.

The list of devices that will receive the iOS 19 update has also emerged. Accordingly, in addition to all models released after the iPhone 11, the second generation and newer versions of the iPhone SE will continue to receive update support. The entire iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series can also be upgraded to iOS 19.
However, Apple will only offer some features to devices with new generation processors. It is stated that the AI-based Apple Intelligence features will work on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 and later. This shows that although older models are updated in software, they will be deprived of some functions due to hardware limitations.
After the WWDC 2025 event, Apple will release the first beta version for developers. The first test version of iOS 19 will be available for download to users registered with Apple’s Developer Program. Later, the update can be tested by curious users within the scope of the public beta program.
When Apple’s update schedule in recent years is considered, the final version of iOS 19 is expected to be available in the fall, along with the new iPhone models. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
