Casio is adding a special model to the G-Shock series that will be produced in only 500 units. According to leaked information, this new watch, which will belong to the MR-G series, will be one of the brand’s most premium models with both its technical features and workmanship.

This Casio G-Shock model is coming in limited numbers

The new model is expected to carry the code MRG-B5000B. The case and bracelet sections of the watch are made of high-strength titanium. The body is reinforced with black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating.

This coating provides the model with high resistance to scratches and a matte and sophisticated appearance. The ‘tsuiki’ workmanship, which comes from the Japanese craft tradition, is used on the bezel. These processes, which resemble armor texture on the surface, highlight the watch both aesthetically and culturally.

The technical equipment of the model also has qualities suitable for the upper segment of G-Shock. The watch, which can be synchronized with smartphones via Bluetooth connection, can be charged with solar energy. Thanks to its Multi-Band 6 feature, it can automatically receive time data from atomic clocks in different regions. Sapphire glass, which has high scratch resistance, is preferred in the glass section.

All these special production details and advanced technological features also bring the price of the watch to a remarkable level. It was stated that the retail price of the product in Japan will be around $6,000.
