Apple has introduced a new battery saving option to iPhone users with the iOS 26 update. This new mode, called Adaptive Power, aims to extend battery life by automatically adjusting the device’s performance in certain scenarios. However, the feature does not work on every iPhone model.
The new battery saving option is not available on all iPhones
Adaptive Power mode reduces the device’s energy consumption by taking steps such as gradually reducing the screen brightness, adjusting the processor performance according to low power consumption, and slowing down some background processes. Since the feature works with artificial intelligence support, it is only compatible with Apple’s most up-to-date hardware models.

iOS 26 can be installed on iPhone 11 and later models. However, Adaptive Power mode can only be activated on iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. Supported devices include iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Although this feature was introduced to users with iOS 26, it is off by default. Users who want to activate it can manually enable the Adaptive Power option by entering the Battery section in the Settings menu, then the Power Mode tab.
Considering which models the feature is valid for, the widespread use of this innovation is limited. So what do you think about this issue? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
