Tesla has started to develop new strategies to increase sales of the Cybertruck model. The electric pick-up, which attracted great interest from the first days of its introduction, fell short of expectations after its launch.
Especially the higher-than-expected prices and the decrease in the announced range values were the most important factors affecting consumer decisions. However, Tesla continues to try different methods to reverse this situation.
This is how Tesla plans to increase Cybertruck sales
One of the first steps taken by the company was to offer rental options for Cybertruck. In addition, in order to accelerate the sales of limited production ‘Foundation Series’ models, special logos were removed from some vehicles and released as standard versions. In addition, lifetime free Supercharger usage rights were offered for vehicles belonging to this special series.

Finally, Tesla launched a new campaign by increasing its financing support to encourage Cybertruck purchases. In this context, certain customers are offered loans with an interest rate of 1.99%. Although this rate represents a significant discount compared to the standard 5.84% interest rate, it offers a more limited advantage compared to the 0% and 0.99% interest options offered to other Tesla models such as the Model 3.
It is a matter of curiosity to what extent these strategies implemented to revitalise Cybertruck’s sales will be effective. The electric pick-up seems to have had difficulty reflecting the intense interest in the launch process on sales figures. What moves Tesla will make to increase sales in the coming period will become clear over time.
