Xiaomi launched its Redmi 12 4G and Redmi 12 5G smartphones on August 1 with a launch in India. On August 4, the company sold 300,000 units of these smartphones, reaching a milestone of INR 3 billion. Now the Chinese phone maker has announced that it has sold more than 1 million Redmi 12 series smartphones since its first sale in India.

Xiaomi announced on its X (Twitter) account “Xiaomi India” that Redmi 12 sales have exceeded one million. In the post, the company shared: “We are thrilled to announce that in just 28 days, the Redmi 12 Series has touched the hearts of one million Indians! Your unwavering support, love and trust have fueled this amazing journey. With each sale, you have joined us in making history and together we have redefined and launched innovation.”
Indeed, the company did not disclose how many of those 1 million sales included 4G and 5G models. The Redmi 12 4G went on sale in India with a price tag of $120, while the Redmi 12 5G launched with a base price of $145. The Redmi 12 4G and 5G are similar smartphones with different processors, storage types and number of rear cameras.
