TikTok and ByteDance apps, including CapCut, have been removed from the US App Store store
In the US, it is no longer possible to use TikTok as of today. In a message sent to its users, TikTok said, “The US has passed a law banning TikTok. Therefore, it is no longer possible for you to use the app.” Just below the message, the newly elected US President Donald Trump may delay the ban for 90 days after he takes office and will work with the company to find a solution.

Apart from TikTok, ByteDance’s other apps Lemon8 and CapCut (Jianying in China) were also removed from the US App Store. This has severely limited ByteDance’s presence in the US. On January 17, the US Supreme Court upheld the ban on TikTok. Following this decision, the process of removing the app from stores in the US and shutting it down accelerated.
