Following the advancements in electric vehicles, electric motors are now making their way into other sectors as well. According to a new report, Saudi Arabia plans to transport people across its famous desert city via flying electric boats. Here are the details…
Flying Electric Boat from Candela
Saudi Arabia is expected to introduce a groundbreaking new plan for traveling along city coastlines using flying electric boats. These boats, designed for shorter distances, will be Candela’s new P-12 electric ferries from the Swedish electric boat manufacturer.
It has been revealed that Saudi Arabia has ordered eight of these P-12 electric boats, which are intended to be used in the NEOM desert megacity currently being built on the Red Sea coast. This order is also noted as the largest commercial order in Candela’s history. The delivery of these electric boats is planned to begin next year.
Candela’s boats feature automatic hydrofoil systems that lift them out of the water, enabling faster travel, longer distances, and a more comfortable journey. Additionally, these electric flying boats offer longer battery life and are designed for short trips to meet all daily needs and services.
The Candela P-12 electric boats, which began service last year and are set to be used for public transport in Stockholm later this year, are notable for their design, features, and equipment. What do you think about this? Would you prefer using such a transport method?
