Two new patents from Apple: No need for a ghost screen anymore!

Apple continues to advance its electronic products. It has recently emerged that the company has obtained two new patents for Apple and iPhone, both of which focus on privacy. Here are the details…

As you know, having a high screen brightness on iPhone and Mac devices makes viewing easier, resulting in a more comfortable and clear display. However, this brings along a bothersome issue.

High screen brightness might allow people around you to see what you’re doing, significantly compromising privacy. Fortunately, Apple seems poised to address this issue with the patents it has recently acquired.

A recently leaked document revealed the variants and prices of the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro.

According to the latest patents, Apple is developing privacy films specifically for curved screens on iPhones and Macs. These films will focus the screen brightness in a specific direction—towards the user—preventing those beside you from seeing what’s on the screen, thereby enhancing user privacy.

Currently, screens on iPhones and Macs typically have a viewing angle of up to 170 degrees. However, it’s expected that implementing this new patent will narrow down this angle. Consequently, it might be possible for the screen to be visible when looked at directly from behind the user since the light is directed in a specific direction. How Apple plans to tackle this issue remains a matter of curiosity.

The technology giant’s second patent is named “Adjustable Viewing Angle Screens.” This system will offer users the ability to adjust polarization by integrating thin and controllable filters into screens.

In simpler terms, these filters will allow someone looking from the side to see the screen in a darkened manner. Perhaps you’ve noticed that looking into a car from the outside doesn’t always provide a clear view of the interior. Apple aims to offer a similar experience with this technology.

There’s no available information on when Apple will implement these patents into iPhone and Mac devices. The company has been heavily focused on screen technology lately, so we might expect significant innovations in the near future.
