In recent days, the final gameplay video of Star Wars Outlaws was released before its official launch, and it was heavily criticized by players. The game, which has been the target of significant criticism for its graphics and has had players calling for a delay for improvements, has received an official statement from Ubisoft.
Ubisoft: “The Game is Complete, We Cannot Postpone!”
Recently, a 10-minute gameplay video of Star Wars Outlaws was released, and the game is set to be launched on August 30th for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
On the day of its release, the video received tens of thousands of dislikes on YouTube, indicating the players’ dissatisfaction. Despite the backlash and calls for a delay, Ubisoft does not seem too concerned. Speaking about the situation, Frederick Duguet stated that the development phase of the game was completed some time ago, and they cannot change the August 30, 2024, release date.
Ubisoft made a statement about Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Mobile games. The release dates of both games have been postponed.
Duguet mentioned that they would soon showcase more content from the game and assured that players can expect a high-quality experience. Addressing the criticism of the graphics, the producer emphasized that they have created a game worthy of the Star Wars name and that players would be surprised by what the game engine can achieve.
It appears that despite all the criticisms, the French game developer Ubisoft is confident in the game’s quality. However, at this point, with the game having reached ‘Gold’ status, there’s little they can do besides promoting the game and asserting its quality.
