After a long hiatus, Xiaomi has made an ambitious return to the premium laptop segment. The highly anticipated Xiaomi Book Pro 14 has officially debuted, showcasing a sleek design and powerhouse hardware under the hood.
Targeting both professionals who refuse to compromise on portability and power-hungry users, this new model directly challenges its competitors—and even Apple’s MacBook Pro series—with Intel’s latest architecture.
Featherweight Design with Titanium Durability
The most striking aspect of the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 is undoubtedly its physical build. Featuring a 14-inch display, the device boasts a premium magnesium alloy unibody. Weighing only 1.08 kg and measuring just 14.95 mm in thickness, the chassis is reinforced internally with a titanium alloy support plate to enhance durability and prevent keyboard flex.
The laptop is available in three sophisticated colors: Light Blue, White, and Elegant Grey.

50W Sustained Power with Panther Lake Processors
Fitting high-performance components into such a slim frame is a significant engineering feat. The Xiaomi Book Pro 14 is powered by Intel’s brand-new “Panther Lake” series processors. Users can choose between an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 in the base model or the high-end Intel Core Ultra 7 358H.
To prevent thermal throttling, Xiaomi has designed a 3D cooling system featuring a massive 10,000 mm² Vapor Chamber (VC) and high-speed dual silent fans. This allows the laptop to maintain a stable 50W high-performance output even under heavy workloads. The system is paired with 24 GB or 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD storage.
Battery Performance: Challenging the MacBook Pro
The efficiency of the next-gen processors shines in battery life tests. Equipped with a 72 Wh battery, the Book Pro 14 charges rapidly via its compact 100W GaN (Gallium Nitride) adapter.
According to Xiaomi’s official data, the device offers approximately 20 hours of local 1080p video playback on a single charge. In testing scenarios involving continuous online meetings (15.8 hours) and video streaming (12.4 hours), Xiaomi claims the device narrowly outperforms Apple’s latest MacBook Pro models.
Connectivity and Ports
Despite its compact size, the device minimizes the need for dongles with a generous selection of ports:
- 1x HDMI
- 1x USB Type-A
- 2x USB Type-C (including one Thunderbolt supported port)
- 1x 3.5 mm Headphone/Microphone jack
Shipping with Windows 11, the global pricing for this premium model has not yet been officially announced. Do you think the 1.08 kg weight and 50W performance are enough to sway you away from a MacBook? Share your thoughts in the comments!
