An unexpected claim has emerged for Samsung’s new flagship series Galaxy S25. According to the leak, the new series will be powered exclusively by the Exynos chipset. The leak revealed that the Galaxy S25 smartphones could be equipped with the yet-to-be-announced Exynos 2500.
Galaxy S25 series comes with Exynos 2500
Samsung is abandoning the Snapdragon/Exynos hybrid chipset approach it took with the Galaxy S24 and earlier series. New leaks have indicated that the 2025 Galaxy Z series of foldable phones will be based solely on Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets.
Details on the next-generation Snapdragon processors and the corresponding Galaxy Z Fold models are as yet unclear. But previous Samsung launches suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
In the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has adopted a mixed chipset strategy. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ were powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset in markets outside the US. But in regions like the US, China, Japan and Canada, these models were offered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. On the other hand, the Galaxy S24 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in all markets.

By 2025, Samsung will allegedly use a combination of MediaTek and Exynos processors in its entry-level and mid-range Galaxy A series smartphones. Thus, it is estimated that the chipset selection in the product range will become more diversified.
It should be noted that Samsung has not officially announced its product plans for 2025 and the names of Qualcomm/Exynos chipsets are unclear. Therefore, this leak should be treated with skepticism until there is official confirmation from Samsung.
