The new Galaxy S25 series is expected to be unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event on 22 January, and the event poster points to four devices of the series: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra and the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Slim. However, there was a development that will upset fans for the Galaxy S25 Slim model. According to a Chinese rumour, the release of this device has been postponed to May 2025.
Why will the Galaxy S25 Slim be a special device?
Unlike other devices in the series, the Galaxy S25 Slim will stand out with its 6.5 mm thinness. This feature will make the device one of the thinnest phones on the market. In addition, its 6.6-inch AMOLED display stands out as both a compact and high-performance option with its 1080p resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.
Samsung is expected to use a silicon-carbon battery in this device, known for its light weight and high capacity battery life. This new battery technology will be able to comfortably meet the daily needs of users by offering a capacity of approximately 5,000 mAh despite the thinness of the device.
The alleged postponement of the Galaxy S25 Slim has not yet been confirmed by Samsung. Although the source of the rumour is China, it should not be ruled out that this information may only be speculation. This issue will be clarified with Samsung’s Unpacked event.
Samsung fans may have to wait a few more months, especially for the Slim model. So do you think Samsung will make this wait worthwhile for users? Don’t forget to share your opinions in the comments!
