The release date of the new competitive shooter Spectre Divide has been announced. The game, which was officially announced for the first time at the beginning of August, will be available on Steam on September 3rd. The highly anticipated game has the potential to compete with big names like Valorant and Counter-Strike 2. Here are all the details you need to know about the game…
Spectre Divide will be released for free on Steam
Mountaintop Studios is investing in a concept known as Duality to engage gamers. Players will have the chance to control a character and a “clone” of sorts, which they can control immediately when their main fighter is killed during a match, or freely switch between bodies when both are alive.
One of the most notable features of Spectre Divide is that each character selected will carry a unique set of equipment. In this way, players will be able to prepare to fight more dynamically against opponents who attack from a distance and those who prefer melee combat.
The creators of the highly anticipated Spectre Divide will initially launch the game in Early Access to gather feedback from players and gauge community interest. Director Lee Horn recently said that he hopes the game will appeal to those who love tactical shooters but aren’t used to what Counter-Strike 2 or Valorant have to offer.
