Ark: The Animated Series
Originally announced in 2020, the adaptation suffered major delays to its scheduled premiere date. Seeking to capitalize on the interest in the action-survival game, the production made its debut without any announcement. The animated Ark: The Animated Series was shared on Paramount+.
There are important names in the Ark cast. Michelle Yeoh, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Jeffrey Wright, Elliot Page and Madeleine Madden lead the cast. The production, which has a star-studded voice cast, also made a big surprise with Vin Diesel.
The adaptation series is about a 21st century woman who finds herself stranded on a mysterious island full of prehistoric creatures. In this context, the series, which remains faithful to Ark: Survival Evolved, will cover a story spanning human history.
The production team includes Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczak, who helped bring the Ark world to life. Vin Diesel, Gerard Butler and Russell Crowe are also on board through their own production companies.
Since Paramount+ is only available in the US and Canada, the Ark series can only be officially streamed in these countries. However, the possibility of other digital services buying the rights to the series should not be ruled out.
