First Major Update for Vision Pro: VisionOS 1.1 and Its Features
With the VisionOS 1.1 update, Vision Pro has received its first major update. This update addresses annoying issues such as cursor positioning on virtual keyboards.
Apple’s new Vision Pro update includes significant improvements for EyeSight and Persona features. Additionally, the update brings error corrections for Mac Virtual Screen.
Apple also shared notes about the VisionOS 1.1 update and its features:
- Introduced the ability to enable device and user registration focused on managed Apple IDs.
- Added support for device configuration with VisionOS 1.1 update (Wi-Fi, VPN, email accounts, single sign-on, and more).
- Support for bulk distribution of applications, including iPhone and iPad compatible apps, VisionOS apps included in Universal purchase, and in-house proprietary VisionOS applications.
- Remote erase support via MDM and device inventory data.
- Added support for iMessage Communication Key Authentication to VisionPro.
- Apple Immersive Video subtitles will now remain fixed while viewing.
- Added option to save hands-free to your Persona.
- Improved hair and makeup appearance.
- Improved representation of neck and mouth.
- Enhanced eye display for EyeSight with the update.
- Cursor positioning for text entry will now be more accurate.
- Resolved some cases where the virtual keyboard layout blocked the text entry field.
- Fixed an issue where text preview on the virtual keyboard did not synchronize with the text field in the application.
- Fixed an issue with the editing menu appearing unexpectedly.
- Increased reliability in discovering and connecting to a Mac using Mac Virtual Display.
- Resolved an issue where Universal Control could stop working.
