vivo to develop mixed reality glasses and robots
Continuing its ambition in the field of imaging, vivo has announced that it has developed a new imaging chip for 2025. This special chip will be available in the company’s flagship vivo X200 Ultra. The device is expected to stand out especially with its remote shooting and video recording capabilities.
In the foldable phone market, it announced that the X Fold series will now be renewed every year. The company aims to unveil its next-generation foldable phone in the third quarter of 2025.
The company wants to enter the mixed reality (MR) field, which has attracted the attention of the whole world after Apple Vision Pro. vivo stated that it was inspired by Vision Pro for its first device in this field. The company is preparing to unveil a prototype of its MR glasses in September or October.
The 500-strong MR development team is currently working on technologies such as large-scale model integration and spatial sensing.
Humanoid robots also play an important role in vivo’s work. Stating that it will take 10 to 15 years to create humanoid robots, the company will highlight its expertise in MRI and artificial intelligence in the next three to five years.
