vivo expanded its affordable smartphone series at an event in China. The devices, called vivo S19 and S19 Pro, stand out with their renewed designs. So what does the vivo S19 series promise?
vivo S19 and S19 Pro features
vivo S19 and S19 Pro share the same display. The common panel is a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits maximum brightness. Both phones feature a screen-embedded fingerprint scanner.
In terms of design, the S19 family features a round camera island on the rear panel. It houses a circular module at the top and another rectangular module at the bottom.
The standard S19 features dual rear cameras, including a 50 Megapixel main sensor with OIS support and an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The S19 Pro features a 50 Megapixel Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS support, an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 50 Megapixel telephoto sensor with 50x digital zoom.
Both phones come with a ring LED flash. The S19 Pro has IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.
The vivo S19 is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the S19 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+. Both phones pack 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The S19 series has a 6000mAh and 5500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. It should be noted that it comes out of the box with OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.
vivo S19 starts at $344 for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant. The S19 Pro has a pricing starting from 455 dollars. The S19 duo is available in Blue, Gray, Peach and Green color options.
