The magnesium alloy components used in the headset’s design provide both durability and lightweight performance. Vivo states that it uses adjustable face masks, various foam padding options, and quick-release double-loop straps for user comfort. Magnetic interchangeable prescription lenses ensure a comfortable wearing experience for users with temperatures ranging from 100 to 1000 degrees Celsius.

The Vision Explorer Edition features dual 8K Micro OLED displays with a resolution of 3840 x 3552 pixels per eye. Vivo states that each headset is factory-calibrated, ensuring consistent brightness and color in both eyes.
At the heart of the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor, which Vivo claims delivers 2.5 times better performance than the previous generation. Building on its own OriginOS Vision interface, Vivo offers features such as immersive movie viewing, multi-window productivity, and spatial match replays.
The device features a full-color Passthrough feature that transitions between the real and virtual worlds with just 13 milliseconds of latency. Users control the device naturally with their hands and eyes, thanks to eye tracking with 1.5 degrees of precision and the ability to recognize hand gestures with 26 degrees of freedom within a 175-degree vertical range.
For content, Vivo is collaborating with Red Bull, Sony Pictures Television, Huya Live, Spatial XR, and independent studios. The glasses can play spatial videos and panoramic images from Vivo and iQOO phones.
Vivo says the glasses will be available to try in 12 stores in major Chinese cities like Beijing and Shenzhen starting August 22. While no official price announcement has been made, it is expected to be around $1,400.
