Vivo, a major player in the smartphone market, has accelerated its preparations to expand its product range globally, particularly in India. New certification details revealed in Indian Bureau of Standards (BIS) records have clarified the models the brand will launch in early 2026.
The Vivo V70 Elite 5G is revealed.
The devices, certified with model numbers V2544, V2548, V2538, and V2545, have been confirmed as the Vivo Y51 5G, Vivo V70 Elite 5G, Vivo V70, and Vivo T5x 5G, respectively. This development shows that Vivo is making significant investments not only in the flagship segment but also in its mid-range and entry-level T and Y series.

The most notable detail in the company’s new strategy is the absence of the “Pro” suffix in the V70 series. Instead, the brand is establishing a four-model lineup consisting of the V70, V70 Elite, V70 Lite, and V70 FE. In the Indian market, the V70 and the top-of-the-line V70 Elite models are expected to be particularly prominent.
According to leaked pricing information, the standard V70 model will be priced at around 45,000 rupees, while the V70 Elite, expected to come with more powerful hardware, will be available with a price tag of around 50,000 rupees.
Technically, the Vivo V70 Elite appears to be a rebranded version of the Vivo S50, recently introduced in China. This means the device will feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K resolution OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
At its heart is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, offering 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Powered by a massive 6,500 mAh battery, the phone promises uninterrupted use with 90W wired fast charging support. On the camera side, both the front and rear use 50-megapixel sensors, while a periscope telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom provides hardware completeness.
Alongside the V70 series, the Vivo T5x 5G and Y51 5G models, which have received BIS certification, support the brand’s plans to increase its dominance in the affordable 5G market. The T5x 5G model is expected to offer a performance-oriented experience, particularly with its high battery capacity and current Dimensity processor series.
All these devices are planned to be officially launched in India by January 2026, followed by sales in other global regions. The completion of the certification processes confirms that the phones have successfully passed technical software and hardware tests and that there are no obstacles remaining for commercial sale.
